Welcome to the Symptom Relief Project!

The Mind Over Meniere’s Symptom Relief Project is a collection of special mind-altering audio tracks designed to help relieve some of the worst symptoms of Meniere’s disease: Vertigo, Brain Fog, Fatigue, Morning Grogginess, and Stress/Anxiety.

All of the tracks feature special “brainwave entrainment” sounds called isochronic tones. These quiet little pulses of sound help to influence your brainwaves and safely change your state of mind. If you think it sounds strange, you’re right, it definitely is, but it’s based on hard science and decades of research.

Here’s how it works: By simply listening to a sound that pulses on and off at a specific frequency, your brain will produce more of the matching brainwave frequency.

For example, if you listen to a tone that pulses at 5 beats per second (5 Hertz), which is the same frequency as Theta brainwaves, your brain will start producing more 5 Hertz theta brainwaves. You normally produce more theta brainwaves when you are deeply relaxed, so as a result of simply listening to the sounds, you will quickly find yourself deeply relaxed.

If you have ever heard of binaural beats, isochronic tones are similar, but much more effective, and don’t require headphones. Most importantly, they will work even if you have hearing loss. Binaural beats will not. As long as you have some hearing left in one of your ears, it will work.

I have personally benefited from brainwave entrainment for nearly a decade and have worked with an audio engineer with over 10 years of experience to bring you this powerful new tool for finding relief.

Description:

The Mind Over Meniere’s Symptom Relief Project is an album of Mp3 audio files, each carefully engineered to help you find relief from a specific Meniere's disease symptom. I have provided descriptions for all of the tracks included with the Symptom Relief Project below:

vertigo reliever

Vertigo:

The Mind Over Meniere’s Vertigo Reliever is a special track designed to help reduce vertigo by slowing down your brainwaves and inducing a deeply relaxed state of mind. It can also help with stress and sleep.

This track uses isochronic tones to influence the listeners brain to quickly drop into a slower brainwave state (theta brainwaves) and can possibly help reduce vertigo in two specific ways.

Benzodiazepines like Valium and Xanax are often prescribed to treat vertigo because they slow down the signal from the vestibular system to the brain. Slowing down your brainwaves with isochronic tones can help to achieve a similar effect.

But it also can help with the anxiety that typically precedes and accompanies a vertigo attack. Whenever I feel a vertigo attack coming on, I usually start to panic. I know a lot of you can relate to this.

The anxiety can make the vertigo so much worse. But this track can quickly drop you into an extremely relaxed state. It can offset the anxiety and even if it doesn’t stop the vertigo, it should help to reduce the intensity.

This track can also be used to help you relax when you are not having vertigo. It will put you in a deeply relaxed state of mind that can help to reduce stress and anxiety.  I encourage you to give it a try when it’s close to your bed time! (It is quite sedating.)

There are 2 versions of this track: one mixed with meditation music and one mixed with soothing ocean sounds.

brain defogger

Brain Fog:

The Mind Over Meniere’s Brain De-fogger is designed to reduce brain fog by increasing your focus, concentration, and mental energy.

It uses isochronic tones to cause the listeners brain to go into a faster brainwave state (low to mid beta brainwaves). It will not stop you from having brain fog but it will help you focus when it occurs. It will give you the concentration you need to get things done.

The brain fog track is 30 minutes long, but designed to be played on loop for when you need to focus for longer. Listening to this track will put you in a relaxed and focused state, perfect for getting work done and counteracting the negative effects of brain fog.

Two versions of this track are included: one mixed with white noise and one mixed with ambient forest sounds.

fatigue fighter

Fatigue:

The Mind Over Meniere’s Fatigue Fighter is a special track designed to help reduce fatigue by giving you a boost of energy and motivation when you need it most.

This track, like the others, uses isochronic tones to put the listener in a faster brainwave state. Unlike the Brain De-Fogger, however, this track will bring the listener’s brain to a higher beta frequency and a higher state of alertness.

The Fatigue Fighter track is 15 minutes long and is designed to be played whenever you are feeling fatigue and need a boost of energy. It is not however designed to be played repetitively on loop and should not be played close to bed time as it can make it hard to fall asleep.

There is only one version of this track and it is mixed with a soothing white noise background.

Morning booster

Morning Grogginess:

The Mind Over Meniere’s Morning Booster is designed to give you a boost of energy first thing in the morning to help overcome the morning grogginess and fatigue that so many of us face.

Because caffeine is a trigger for many Meniere’s patients, it can be helpful to have something to replace our morning cup of coffee. This track is designed to do just that.

Like the Brain De-Fogger and the Fatigue Fighter, it works by boosting beta brain waves but in a much more focused way. By quickly ramping the listener up to an alert state, it can clear away the morning cobwebs and help you start your day off right.

This track is ten minutes long and designed to be listened to first thing in the morning. There is only one version of this track mixed with soothing white noise.

Stress Melter

Stress:

The Mind Over Meniere’s Stress Melter is designed to give you a relaxing 15 minute break to help reduce your stress and anxiety levels.

You can listen to the stress melter any time you are feeling stressed and it will quickly help you calm yourself. Like the other tracks, the stress melter uses isochronic tones to bring you to a slower alpha brainwave state.

It works in a similar way to the Vertigo Reducer track but is much more practical for daily stress. The Vertigo Reducer can be very sedating and many listeners report falling asleep. The Stress Melter can reduce your stress without disruption to your day.

There are 2 versions of this track: one mixed with the soothing sound of a brook gently flowing over rocks and the other mixed with relaxing meditation music.

Give it a try!

I have created a 10 minute sample of the Mind Over Meniere's Stress Melter track, set to classical music, to give you a demonstration of the brainwave entrainment technology found on every track of the Symptom Relief Project.

Listen with headphones or a decent set of speakers and with your eyes close. As you listen take slow, deep, steady breaths and watch as the Isochronic tones wash away your stress. Make sure to read the disclaimer before you listen.

Amy VanDyke, Meniere's Patient

“I tried the vertigo reliever track around bedtime. I wasn’t having vertigo, but felt like I was on the edge of having an attack. Not only did the attack not happen but I slept for seven hours straight. I haven’t slept that many consecutive hours in two years. So far so good!”

Ross Gelling, Meniere's Patient

“The vertigo reliever tracks definitely have an effect on your state of mind and anxiety levels. There is a marked difference in the intensity of the vertigo after listening to the the track for even twenty minutes. Keep up the great work!”

Debby Romig, Meniere's Patient

“In addition to night time use, I listen to facilitate my fledgling meditation practice. I have the worst time calming my mind and pretty much suck at meditating. I’m getting better with your help. Definitely reduces anxiety. Love both the sounds.”

Jenn Chloupek, Meniere’s Patient

“I have been listening at night to calm me down from the chaos of the day. Each night I have fallen asleep to the track. I like the vertigo track with ocean waves the best. Great job and I look forward to hearing more!”

Nancy Lentz, Meniere’s Patient

“I’ve been using the vertigo track now for a few weeks, and at least daily for the past week since I got a good pair of earbuds. I think of it as an audio dose of Valium! It works as well, with no side effects!! When I feel pressure in my ear or know I’m going to be in a noisy environment I listen to it, and even when I’m not able to lie down & really relax it calms my ear. Thank you so much!”
