If you’re a member of any of the Meniere’s Disease or Tinnitus Facebook groups, you’ve probably seen a huge increase in the number of people talking about CBD products.

If not, allow me to give you brief introduction: CBD (short for Cannabidiol) is one of 113 different cannabinoids found in the marijuana/hemp plant. On its own, it’s non-psychoactive which means you will not get high from consuming CBD. Yet it’s believed to be responsible for many of the medicinal effects of cannabis.

I’ve posted several times about my experiences with CBD, and every time the response has been incredible. (If you haven’t read my previous CBD post, do so now.)

CBD has helped me to manage my stress and anxiety levels more than anything else I’ve tried. It doesn’t seem to directly improve my Meniere’s symptoms or tinnitus levels, but it completely relieves my stress and anxiety, both of which are big triggers for me. So from that point of view, it has indirectly helped me more than I ever could have imagined. And after several months of daily use, I continue to be blown away at how much it seems to improve my quality of life.

In the coming months, I’m going to write a lot more about CBD. I plan to write a comprehensive guide to using CBD for chronic illness. I will be reviewing new CBD products, letting you know about CBD related research, and reaching out to CBD companies to try to get discounts for my readers!

The Review:

In that spirit, I wanted to tell you all about a new CBD oil that I’ve used for the last few weeks from an amazing company called CBDistillery. Until recently, most of my experiences with CBD have been limited to Charlotte’s Web Hemp Oil. It was exciting to try a new CBD oil from another leader in this space.

After having to wait 13 business to receive my most recent order of Charlotte’s Web, I was delighted to receive my CBDistillery order after only 2 days, and ordering itself was a breeze.

CBDistillery offers a ton of different CBD products from full spectrum CBD oil at varying concentrations, to isolated CBD powder, disposable vape pens, capsules, topical creams, and more. It’s an amazing selection, and the pricing is excellent, though it can be bit overwhelming if you’re new to CBD or if you don’t know exactly what you want.

I decided to go with the 500mg 30ml Full Spectrum CBD Tincture. At $35 plus shipping, it’s less expensive than everything else I’ve tried from Charlotte’s Web, and at a higher CBD concentration per milliliter than what I was using before. (Requiring less oil per dose)

In fact, CBDistillery offers several lower priced CBD products which are an excellent way to try CBD without breaking the bank. If you’re interested in trying CBD Oil for the first time, I would recommend either the 500mg Full Spectrum Oil that I ordered or the 250mg Full Spectrum CBD Oil ($20).

I’ve only used it for about 2 weeks now, but my early results are incredibly promising! So far, I’ve tried dosages between 5 and 20 mg of CBD, and I’ve actually found it more effective than Charlotte’s Web for helping me fall sleep. For anxiety and stress relief, it’s equally as effective.

Within minutes of sublingual dosing, I feel my anxiety melt away. The tension in my chest and stomach releases as a subtle body relaxation washes over me. I feel sharper in a certain sense too. It’s an enjoyable, relaxed focus that helps me to be more productive and better cope with brain fog. I know many of you have experienced this effect as well.

The taste isn’t bad either, though not nearly as pleasant as the mint chocolate and olive oil flavors of Charlotte’s Web. CBDistillery’s CBD oils smell and taste like, well, like hemp. It’s not unpleasant in the least, and far better than other oils I’ve tried, but Charlotte’s Web is delicious and sets a high bar for comparison. (I honestly have no idea of how Charlottes Web was able to make their oils taste so good!)

Final Thoughts and Recommendation:

All in all, I’m incredibly impressed. I highly recommend CBDistillery, especially if you are interested in CBD and looking to try it for the first time.

I’m also excited to try some of the other products they have to offer! I recently ordered CBDistillery’s newly released CBD Vape Cartridges and 1000mg Full Spectrum CBD oil and should receive it any day now. So stay tuned for additional reviews!

If you want to try CBDistillery, I recommend starting with one the CBD oils and experimenting with the dose.

And best of all, I was able to get a discount code for Mind Over Meniere’s!

NOTE: CBDistillery sent me this CBD oil for free to test out and provide an honest review. I receive many free products (and purchase many products too) but only ever end up writing about a very small percentage of them that work well for me, that I personally stand behind, and actually use myself. 1. I purchased this product and tried it for a few days. Anyone else talk about allergic reactions? I experienced terrible “itching” all over my body (no rash or hives). And though it wasnt constant, it was persistent enough for me to stop ingesting this.

    • Deborah, that’s a very strange reaction. Have any other CBD products caused the same issues? Maybe it’s some type of interaction with one of your meds?

      • I have been on antivirals and the full JOH Regimen for almost a full year. In addition, I take a diuretic and probiotic, vit B2 and CoQ10. I tried the CBD brand Dixie Dew Drops for a short while, but ordered the CBDistillery brand as a replacement when I saw the recommendation on this website. Any reaction to the first brand was much less noticeable with the first. My plan is to try the CBDistillery oil again before totally chalking it up to allergy. Just wondered if anyone else had a similar reaction.

        • That’s a good strategy. Is it possible that you ended up taking more CBD in a single dose with CBDistillery than with Dixie Dew Drops? CBDistillery’s oils are much more concentrated on a per drop basis.

          • It certainly is possible, The dropper isnt marked well and I didnt see much in the way of suggested dose. Advice?

      • Glenn,
I purchased CW Hemp plus, I have taken it for day and a half and played around with dosage, I took 1/4 dropper sublingually. My tinnitus has dropped dramatically. I’m scheduled Sept 20 for an edolympharticle sacred decompression and havery been stressed about it. Now not as much with CW cbd oil.I GPS for preoperative Sept 5th and very well may just decide to not get the surgery done because of the immediate benefits of taking cbd. I just purchased 2 500ml bottles of full spectrum from cbdistillerits so I’m very excited even more about managing my evil friend “menieres”. How many drops do u take and what is a good starting point for the 500ml from cbdistilleries? Thanks for everything you do for all of us. Have you had any surgical procedures for MD? How long have you been dealing with this disease? I’ve had it for about 10 years, and 2 years ago in 2016 I developed sensorineural hearing loss in right ear and lost about 80-90% of hearing. Tinnitus was 365 24/7 since that dreaded day of August 11th. My rinning is about an 8000KHz tone, pretty high. I bought your audio tracks recently and helps bit but along cbd,man its better than ever.

  2. Thank you Glenn. I am one of those people who had no benefits from Charlotte brand. I tried plus and advanced Unfortunately no effect on my anxiety Will try this brand.

    • I hope you find it helpful! Make sure to take it sublingually, and keep it under your tongue for at least a minute or two. And play around with the dosage. Everyone reacts differently, and you often have to play around with the dosage to find the amount that works.

  3. How can you tell how much you’re taking with this? The dropper doesn’t have any marks. I got the 500 mg, 15 ml that you suggested. Love it, just have no idea how much I’m taking!

    • Yeah, that definitely can be a problem. I think the 15ml dropper bottle is close to 1ml but it’s hard to say. It might be worth picking up a 1ml oral syringe for accurate dosing – that’s what I use with the 1000mg bottle. Glad it’s helping you though!

  4. Look on cbdistillary website. They list the mg in one drop for each strength. The 1000mg has 3.33 mg of cbd per drop. So if you need 15 mg is cbd, you would take 4 to 5 drops
